The SSC GD Constable examination recruits candidates for the following Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs):
- Border Security Force (BSF)
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
- Assam Rifles (AR)
Candidates may be allotted any of the above forces based on merit, preference, and vacancy availability.

# Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST):
Race Timing:
- Female Candidates: 1.6 km in 8½ minutes
- Male Candidates: 5 km in 24 minutes
Chest (Male Only):
- Un-expanded: 80 cm
- Minimum Expansion: 5 cm
(Chest measurement is not applicable for female candidates.)
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
