π§ͺ Selection Process
The OSSSC CRE-2025 recruitment examination shall be conducted in two successive stages:
Stage-I: Written Examination
Stage-II: Practical Skill Test in Basic Computer Skills (where prescribed)
π Stage-I: Written Examination β Exam Pattern
- Type: MCQ
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 1Β½ Hours
- Standard: Minimum of High School Certificate Examination level

β Negative Marking
- ΒΌ mark (0.25) shall be deducted for each wrong answer
- More than one answer marked for a question β treated as wrong
- No deduction for unanswered questions

πΎ Special Provision for Village Agricultural Worker (VAW)
- Candidates possessing Diploma in Agriculture / Horticulture
- Securing minimum 50% marks in the Written Examination
- Shall be awarded additional 5% marks for preparation of merit position
- Total marks shall not exceed 100
(This provision applies only to VAW as per official notification.)
βοΈ Tie-Breaking Criteria
If two or more candidates secure equal marks in the Written Examination:
- Candidate with fewer wrong answers shall be ranked higher
- If still tied, the older candidate shall be ranked higher
π» Stage-II: Practical Skill Test in Basic Computer Skills
- Maximum Marks: 50
- Duration: 1 Hour
- Nature: Qualifying
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40%
Candidates are shortlisted for the Practical Skill Test based on performance in the Written Examination, subject to vacancy position.
