Educational Qualification (Post-Wise)
🔹 Forester
- +2 Science from a recognized Board
- Knowledge of basic Computer Skills
🔹 Forest Guard
- HSC / 10th pass or equivalent qualification
🔹 Excise Constable
- +2 pass or equivalent qualification
Odia Language Requirement
Candidates must:
- Have passed Middle School / HSC with Odia as a language,
OR - Have passed an Odia language test conducted by the Government of Odisha.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)
- Forester & Forest Gaurd : 18 Years to 32 years
- Excise Constable : 21 Years to 32 years
Age Relaxation
- SC / ST / SEBC / Women: 5 years

- All Other Categories: ₹500
👉 Examination fee will be refunded to candidates who appear in the examination, as per Odisha Government rules.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of multiple stages:
Stage-I: Written Examination
- Objective type (MCQ)
- Subjects:

- General Studies
- English
- Odia
- Logical Reasoning
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 1½ Hours
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark per wrong answer

Stage-II: Physical Standard Measurement Test (PSM)
For Forester / Forest Guard
Minimum Height & Chest (Men):
- Height: 168 cm (UR/SEBC/SC), 158 cm (ST)
- Chest: 84 cm (unexpanded), expansion 5 cm
Women:
- Height: 153 cm
- Chest not applicable
For Excise Constable
Separate height, weight and chest standards apply as notified.
Stage-III: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Forester / Forest Guard
- Male: 25 km walk in 4 hours
- Female: 16 km walk in 4 hours
Excise Constable
- Running, long jump and other events as specified in notification.
Stage-IV: Document Verification
- Verification of original certificates
- District / Division-wise merit preparation
